Holy Week! A week of Fasting!!!!!!
Happy Palm Sunday Christians!
“Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the LORD; Hosanna in the most highest!” (Matthew 21:9 KJV)
On this day over 2000 years ago, the crowds praised Jesus as He journeyed into Jerusalem on a colt. (Matthew 21) Jesus clears the Temple and prophecies to the crowds (Matthew 21:12-46; 22; 23; 24; 25:1-46).
The religious leaders plot to kill Jesus. (Matthew 26:1-13) He was thereafter betrayed by Judas his own disciple (Matthew 26:14-16) while The Last Supper was being prepared and celebrated. (Matthew 26:17-35)
Jesus prays for Himself, His disciples, and us His disciples left in the world. (Matthew 26:36-46) Jesus is falsely accused, betrayed and later denied by Peter His own disciple (Matthew 26:46-75). The remaining disciples had fled.
Jesus is delivered to Pilate; in the end He is scourged. (Matthew 27:1-28) Jesus is then led to Golgotha, where He is crucified. (Matthew 27:29-50)
On the sixth day; after these praises, betrayal, denial, and a false trial, they hung Jesus on a cross; the charge: blasphemy. (Matthew 26:65-66).
Jesus’ Last Words to the spectators and accusers, as Jesus hung on the cross were: “It is Finished.” (John 19:30)
Jesus’ seventh and final Words was addressed to His Father, as he hung on the cross:
“Then He said to His Father: “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: having said that He gave up the ghost.” (Luke 23:46) Jesus’ work is Finished here on earth. Jesus rested in God’s arms. He is risen! We as Christians have to govern the earth! ( Matthew 27:18-20) Go! Jesus is with the Father, He is watching over us and interceding for us.
God created the world in six days, He rested on the seventh day. For God, (His Work of creation) is Finished. “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning was the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:31) God rested on the seventh day.
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV)
Return to reading The Bible, faithfully: God has chart a course for you through life, including this pandemic.”
